How Berritah collects, uses, protects, and deletes account and usage data.

Effective date: 15 July 2026.

Who we are: Berritah is a technology-news briefing service. For privacy questions, contact ahmadmirzaar@gmail.com.

Data we collect: email address, name, password hash, plan and billing identifiers, preferences, bookmarks, reading history, support messages, and security/session records. Passwords are hashed, not stored in plaintext.

Connected services: if you connect Telegram, we store the Telegram chat identifier and username to deliver messages. Stripe processes payments and provides billing identifiers. News publishers provide linked source content.

Why we use data: account authentication, email verification, password recovery, personalization, Telegram delivery, billing, fraud prevention, service analytics, support, and legal compliance.

Retention and deletion: we retain data while an account is active and as needed for security, billing, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Use Settings or contact ahmadmirzaar@gmail.com to request access, correction, export, or deletion.

Security and incidents: we use access controls, hashed credentials, token expiry, session revocation, and encrypted transport. No online service is risk-free; we will handle qualifying incidents as required by applicable law.

International processing: service providers may process data outside Malaysia under their own terms and safeguards. Review Stripe, Telegram, and hosting-provider policies for their processing details.

This policy explains how Berritah handles account data, connected services, security, retention, and user rights.
